An Exhibition at the Site of the Historic Cafe

The exhibition “The Romanische Café and the Kurfürstendamm in Berlin in the 1920s” will open in December 2023 at the site of the historic café. It will be hosted as a pop-up exhibition by the Europa Center and will open its doors there for six months.

Immerse yourself in the daily life of the “New West” in Berlin of the 1920s in approx. 130 square meters within the mall. Explore every day life in the vicinity of the historic Café and experience how people lived, worked and flirted at that time. Well-known and lesser-known personalities of the time, funny and tragic anecdotes as well as the illustrated history of the café and its surroundings will bring contemporary history to life.

The exhibition will appeal to a broad local and international audience. With the topics of freedom and democracy, the exhibition also becomes a place of learning and commemoration.
